We collect data about your visit, which is held on our server and back-up files. Data is limited to IP addresses plus whatever information you decide to share with us if you register with the site. Using a combination of this information makes it possible to work out more about you such as which station or company you work for, or your location. Please bear this in mind if registering under an anonymous username.

We hate spam - and we do not condone it. However, by registering with RadioToday.co.uk you are agreeing to us sending you occasional interesting radio emails which either relate to the general services/updates of the site, or include a paid-for advertising message. Emails from us will usually not exceed 2 per month.

The news and information written by RadioToday.co.uk is, to the best of our knowledge correct and available for public consumption. Under no circumstances will RadioToday.co.uk be liable for any losses or damages caused by the use of this site. Most of our news is via press releases from various agencies and stations. If you know of any of our stories to be incorrect, please contact us. All third party images and audio used by RadioToday.co.uk remain copyright to their original author.

Registration / Forum use

We monitor all registrations and if your username/signature is deemed not suitable by us, we may delete your account without notice. Whilst we encourage the use of your real name, this is not essential. You must not use a name which would give the impression that your are someone other than yourself i.e. a well-known person.

Bad language or threatening behaviour is not acceptable. Messages containing any language likely to offend other readers will be deleted. This also applies to any postings containing offensive statements relating to sexual orientation, race, religion or other factors having no relevance to the subject. 

Commercial postings are not permitted on our forums, or private messaging systems and will be deleted without notice.

Terms of service - available in the UK only

To subscribe to Major Radio Industry News text the word "TODAY" via SMS to 60066. To stop, text the word "STOP" to 60066. We hold your mobile phone number in our database for the duration of your subscription

All SMS texts are charged at 25 pence per message received from December 1st 2006. A free trial period will run until this date, when all text messages to register, receive and stop the service will be free of charge.

Charges for the service from 1st December 2006 will be deducted from your available credit time if you are a pre-pay customer or will appear on your monthly statement if you are a pay monthly customer

If your free trail is not cancelled by Dec 1st 2006, the first charge made will be for the first text alert is received after Dec 1st 2006.

No responsibility can be accepted by RadioToday.co.uk for notifications that are not received or delivered. We do not, in any way, shape, or form guarantee to send alerts for every major story we publish, or is published elsewhere. We will only inform you of news which RadioToday.co.uk feel is a major story, which our reporters cover at the time of the event. The majority of information sent will be headlines as published on radiotoday.co.uk which, at the discretion of the editor, are major news stories associated with the radio industry either in the UK or abroad. No refund is provided if you disagree whether a story is 'major' or not.

RadioToday.co.uk makes no warranty in respect of the contents of alerts and accepts no liability for any loss or damage what-so-ever and however arising whether directly or indirectly as a result of information sent via text message. Information published is to the best of our knowledge is factually correct. We advise you to check with a source before taking any action based on any text from RadioToday.co.uk

Notifications will consist of industry events such as high profile appointments, station news, take-overs / mergers, licence bidders and winners and are not limited to breaking news - notifications can include press releases once an embargo has passed, expected diary events and deaths.

Privacy

We will never sell your information/mobile number to any third party without your prior consent. However, your subscription to our service (until you cancel by sending STOP to 60066) means you agree that Park Media (owners of RadioToday.co.uk) reserve the right to sending occasional free promotional messages. Either relevant advertising messages or information relating to our products and services. We will not send you anything other than text which we genuinely believe is relevant to the radio industry.
